the weekend,

it was pretty awesome.
family jump!!! closer
there were a few adventures that included:

the dog falling out the car window before we even got out of town (he’s okay just a little road rash- as you can see in the pictures he is running around just fine)
thunder and lightening on a playa
land sailing
getting totally lost but enjoying the beautiful ride just the same
balancing setting up and taking down camp with an almost 9month old strapped to your back
singing with one of my favorite 1 1/2 year olds
the baby falling asleep in the backpack on a short hike (mr smiley down there was out like a light seconds after I snapped this shot)
rock hounding
hot springs, ahh hot springs you made four days in a dusty desert so much more tolerable

backpack boys

hope yours was just as sweet.

Looks like you had a great time! Poor doggie…I’ve always wondered if that happens…some dogs just get so excited about sticking their head out the window they go a little too far.

Looks like a ton of fun. I love that picture of your little guy peeking out of his pod. What a great shot!

Also props for setting up camp with a babe on your back!

The dog falling out of the car window reminds me of that scene in National Lampoon’s Vacation.

Scout fell out the window once when M took a turn too fast.
I hear ya on the setting up camp loaded with a wee one – challenging but so worth it. Love the photos and glad you had a good time on your annual playa trek.
