New Do

So remember that crazy fuzz head from the last post? Take a good look because later on that day we headed over to a salon specifically for kids and got the boy’s hair cut. I was a little teary eyed about the whole thing- and I think Kathleen summed it up better than I could ever do (Her little man got his first cut this past weekend too). If you have a second hop over there and read her words. they brought sweet tears to my eyes when I read the today (in the very best way).

First Haircut

His New Look

He was amazingly good through the entire cut. I was bracing myself for a meltdown but I think the place we took him too had enough crazy colors, and stimulation that he was sort of in awe. Plus, we let him have a lolly pop- I mean what could be bad about getting a big old hunk of sugar on a stick?

Eben is a haircut-a-month kind of kid, I mean the shock of hair that he has is crazy….NUTS.

We just use the good old dog clippers and scissors on him, I think I would go broke bringing him to a barber.

He looks so calm and intrigued in your shots…

    what a good little boy.

I know how hard that first hair cut is. I guess, it’s the final realization that you don’t have a baby anymore. He’s more like a little boy. I will check out the Kathleen post! The last photo wasn’t available but I will come back to see the end results!

kyndale hit it on the head! it’s a sad yet sweet thing when those babies grow up and start to do those things that grown up humans do. i just found my daughter’s little locket of hair from her first haircut – she was almost three. (bald for a LONG time.)

what a sweet lil guy you have.

they did a great job, and how amazing that he sat so still for his cut. these milestones tug at a mama’s heartstrings, don’t they?
