February 2016 – 5 on 5

On the fifth of every month a group of photographers will each post five favorite photos from the previous month. It’s a “blog circle” aka virtual gallery hop that will take you around to not only different corners of the interwebs, but the country.  We all live in different places and have different styles and loves of  subject mater and photography, but the what we share is inspiration and moments from our everyday and our professional photography. At the end of each Fave 5 on 5 post there will be a link to the next photographer. Be sure to click on the link and hop over to the next gallery. Enjoy!

The camellias are showing off as the days get longer and the sun attempts to push through the clouds. The color is so needed right now as the winter grey continues.Feb2016 (2 of 2) These next two images are really special. Fifi (my 5.5 year old) has taken an interest in my camera and she snapped these after I had been testing out my flash and natural light options around the house. I did adjust the camera settings and did the post processing, but she composed these photos. I love seeing the world through her eyes, even for just a frame or two. Feb2016 (1 of 2) Feb2016 (1 of 1)The morning commute downtown is always full of people watching.  The high school kids were out waiting for the bus and I had a red light. Perfect timing.UntitledAnd last but not least, it was my husband’s birthday last month. It was a extremely mellow day and we even had sunshine and a dry afternoon so we could sit around the back yard fire pit. The light along the back of the yard is some of my favorite this time of year, so I pulled him over to take a birthday photo together.Untitled

Now swing on over to Adriana’s blog and see what she had going on last month.
