short and the long of it

Why does it always seem that the short work week is the longest?
It has sort of been a blur around here and I have barely been able to keep up with my project, but I have. Although, the images aren’t the best this week, it is what it is and I am still shooting and trying to capture the day in a photo.

Tuesday I ended up with a whopper of a headache that had me down and out at just about 8pm for bed. Thank goodness for Daddy-O stepping up to the plate and taking care of dinner and bedtime on his own.

Wednesday I hit the gym for the first time in months. The 80 year old gym rats put me to shame during the “Get Ripped” class, but now I have something to aspire towards. Though I do hope to have something else to do besides hang out at the gym when I am 80, like maybe hang out on a tropical island and sip a drink with an umbrella in it.
I finished off the day having dinner with my favorite redheaded twins and their mama. Which is always leaves me feeling revived beyond words. Having another mom that you can bounce ideas, problems, crafty endevors and bohemian lifestyles off of is really wonderful.

Today has been busy with meetings and a presentation (that I am not sure I really pulled off, but it’s over now). It is windier than Kansas during tornado season today. You might as well call me Dorothy and slap some sparkly red shoes on my feet because, DANG, there is a storm a brewin’ in the Sierra Nevada mountains. I doubt I will get so lucky as to get two Friday-snow days in a row, but a girl can dream.
I am gearing up for Daddy-O’s birthday weekend, I have some fun plans in the works for celebrating him. I hope I can pull them all off!

I know what you mean about this week. I haven’t been getting much in the way of photos either.

I should really think about the gym, but I’d rather think about umbrella drinks and tropical islands!

Have a cozy weekend with your little fam and happy birthday to your mister!

(I made one comment already but blogspot ate it. Sigh.)
